Made circa 1890. Very fine 18K pink gold, moon phase astronomical, keyless, minute repeating, watch with perpetual calendar and split-seconds chronograph, Four body, massive, "bassine et filets", polished. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with radial Arabic numerals, outer red Arabic minute and seconds ring, sunk subsidiary dials for the days of the week, the month, and date and subsidiary seconds with inner moon phase aperture. Blued steel "spade" hands. 18"', nickel plated, "fausses cotes" decoration, 39 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with swan neck micrometric index. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Splitseconds chronograph with visible work, button on the winding crown and push piece in the band. " |
