2016 - ebay #112178590621, $1,275, 30 Oct 2016, "We are listing several other great pocket watches so be sure to check them out! In this auction we are proud to offer a top grade C.H. Meylan Split Seconds Chronograph 'Rattrapante' Pocket Watch in 14K Solid Gold Case. The entire watch weighs a hefty 85.4g at 47mm diameter. The label on the movement is a private jeweler from Philadelphia but the movement layout is unmistakably from C.H. Meylan. C.H. Meylan was an Elite Swiss Watchmaking Brand from 1880s-1900s and the quality of their products rivaled the best such as Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin. This movement is no exception with all hand-finished parts done with chamfering and high polish throughout. With the highly complicated of split seconds chronograph design it was made to the highest order. Condition-wise the movement is running quite strong but the split seconds chronograph function works sporadically on/off. It is due to the light split sceconds chrono parts being dry on the pivots so a simple cleaning will resolve any functional issue. We do not offer guarantee on the accuracy or functional correctness as it will need cleaning to work well. THE SWAN NECK FINE REGULATOR IS MISSING which does not affect the basic timekeeping/chrono functions. Cosmetically the enamel dial has some edge chips near the setting lever but no hairline crack or other defect. On the back of the case there is a shallow engraving presentation that can be removed if needed. SOLD AS IS with NO RESERVE, good luck. "
